2011 January · Morrissey Joins nfrastructure to Lead Business Development
Clifton Park, New York, January 26, 2011 - nfrastructure is pleased to name Bill Morrissey as Senior Managing Director of Business Development. In this newly created position, Morrissey will be responsible for leading the company’s efforts in their most strategic markets and with their top business partners.
Morrissey brings 26 years of sales and marketing management experience to nfrastructure. He was previously Executive Vice President of Sales at nfrastructure from 2004-2007 and then worked at Alcatel-Lucent where he was responsible for the company’s services sales efforts in commercial markets for North America. Morrissey’s other experience includes 20 years at IBM and five as a captain in the United States Air Force as a Missile Combat Crew Commander.
“I had the privilege of getting to know nfrastructure and the uncommon passion and expertise of its employees as a business partner of IBM’s and Alcatel-Lucent’s,” said Morrissey. “It’s an easy decision to return when you have the opportunity to join a world-class organization in a rapidly growing space.”
In December, nfrastructure expanded its Research and Development and Workforce Education Operations at a new state-of-the-art innovation center located in the Saratoga Technology + Energy Park® (STEP®) in Malta. STEP is owned and operated by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
“Bill’s impressive track record of developing partner and customer relationships makes him an ideal fit for the new position we’ve created,” said CEO, Dan Pickett. “Bill has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors and brings the leadership skills, experience and discipline we need to grow to the next level.”
Morrissey received his MBA from the University of Missouri and completed executive programs at Harvard Business School, Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and the Wharton Business School.
