2011 December · nfrastructure Presents at SUNYIT Forum Hosted by Assemblyman Brindisi

MARCY, N.Y. –   nnfsd   nfrastructure, who helps large enterprises design, build and operate mission-critical technology infrastructures, presented to a crowd of more than 150 business and education leaders at a  nanotechnology forum Monday, December 19, 2011. The event, hosted by Assembly member Anthony J. Brindisi (Utica-D), was held in the Student Center at the State University of New York Institute of Technology (SUNYIT) at Utica/Rome.  Attendees learned aboutnanotechnology and its effects on education and business development in the Mohawk Valley.

“This forum successfully brought together people from a variety of fields and backgrounds to discuss ways that we can work together to prepare for the high tech jobs of the 21st Century. It is my hope that we can continue this discussion,” said Assemblyman Brindisi.

“nfrastructure is pleased that our ability toproduce strong workforce development programs is enabled by NCCIT's partnership with SUNYIT, CNSE, and the Research Foundation,” said Larry Delaney, executive vice president, nfrastructure.  “We look forward to the collaboration that will pave the way for economic prosperity in the Mohawk Valley and place New York State at the forefront of cutting edge industry."

nfrastructure recently announced plans to occupy temporary space on campus until the Computer Chip Commercialization Center (Quad-C) is completed in 2012-2013. Additionally, it announced its first wave of hires including technical staffing and end user services personnel to support the nfrastructure Center of Competency in Information Technologies (NCCIT) at SUNYIT.

Additional presenters at the forum included UAlbany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE), Mohawk Valley EDGE, the Air Force Research Laboratory, Griffiss Institute, Working Solutions,  Oneida BOCES, Assured Information Security (AIS), Utica College, and the building and construction trades industry.

Following their presentations, Assemblyman Brindisi moderated a question-and-answer session.
